A business house with diverse interests, NH group today has five business verticals in the parent company, which are made up of Commodities, FMCG, Health & Beauty, Lifestyle & Industrial Chemicals.

This century year old business started off with trading in commodity and slowly growing into other opportunities, based on the strength of trade. The business boasts a strong and robust distribution network across the Sultanate of Oman today.

The group is represented under multiple companies for its business interests in Restaurants, Retail, Hotel & Restaurant Supplies, Real Estate and many more. This diversity has been a vital part of the group's organic growth through the vision of its fourth generation.

Our History

Mr. Naranjee Hirjee was an adventurer and opportunist who was quick to grab an opportunity to progress in life. The story starts back in 1905, when Naranjee moved from the small town of Mandvi, Kutch, in India and set sail to Muscat, Oman.

Starting off as a broker for, he soon gathered funds to start off on his own journey as a trader and slowly settled on the trade of commodities, mainly rice and coffee. A century later, the trade continues, as the core focus of the business today is in the trade of Rice.

Mr. Naranjee Hirjee, founder of Naranjee Hirjee & Co. LLC moved from a small town of Mandvi in Kutch, India in the year 1905. He was an adventurer and an opportunist, but most importantly a merchant with a passion.

1982

Opened Golden

Oryx Restaurant

This fully licensed restaurant first opened in 1982, and since then Golden Oryx has endeared itself to a cross- section of affluent Omanis, Asian and European expatriates.

2001

Opened

Easylife Store

The store boasts over 4000 products under one roof spanning over a 1200sqm floor space in the heart of the city center.

Opened Kamat Restaurant

Opening its doors in 2001, with its first outlet on Al Burj street in Ruwi, Muscat, Kamat was introduced to Oman, through a joint venture between Naranjee Hirjee Group & Kamat, UAE.

2018

First Store Formed

With more than 14,000 products offered through its catalog, and 3000 products available at any time in store, Restofair Oman is able to offer a specialized service to the entire hospitality industry in Oman.
